Why we are unique:
Not all children acquire skills at the same rate, or in the same way. Some children need a more individualized approach to learning. At The It’s 4 Kids Schoolhouse, we recognize that every child is unique and we take the time to understand how they learn best. Using formative assessments, we create S.M.A.R.T. goals that are tailored to their way of learning. In this way, we successfully scaffold learning and improve performance.

Our Teaching Philosophies
We believe that there is more than one way to learn. We act on this belief by focusing our classes around experiential learning cycle and through paying attention to students’ different approaches to learning. The programs we teach are focused on providing authentic, concrete experiences. Taking a course-long perspective to experiential learning, we see assignments in relation to each other; each developing skills that are further reinforced by the next task.
We work to create a sense of community in the learning environments that we co-create with students. We are interested in striking a balance between the objectives of our students and our own learning outcomes for the course.
We always seek and incorporate in-course student feedback. We find that this openness to student feedback and needs changes the tone of the classroom and helps draw students into the learning environment. We also strive to develop appropriate relationships with the students in my classes. We find that creating the space to hear their opinions and demonstrating that these have value and worth means that they become engaged and, in turn, get more out of the learning experience. Having students “get more” out of a course than they expected is a great reward for the effort we both invest.

I can’t even begin to thank Mrs Tangorra for all she has done for my grade 2 daughter. In November she was so behind and still couldn’t identify all the letters of the alphabet. Tammy has designed her learning space to be a welcoming, comforting, nurturing space. This allows her students to feel relaxed and secure while they learn. Tammy is passionate about teaching. She is extremely experienced and brings unique techniques to the learning experience to benefit every child.
My son’s reading has come such a long way in a few short months thanks to Amanda’s strategies and teaching style.Amanda encourages and shows the children that she believes in them so that they feel empowered to learn, and they learn to believe in themselves. We have had a fantastic experience with Tammy from its 4 kids, our son went in with a level A reading level and has gone to a level E in a matter of a few short months. The program she has there is extremely effective, more effective then the program my sons school uses. We are really happy with all the progress our son has made. This is the place to go if your son or daughter need help with reading or writing and they offer math too

I highly recommend Mrs. Tangorra at It’s 4 Kids. Mrs.T has built a connection with my son that blends learning, engagement and positivity in a safe environment. My son is gaining the confidence and class skills he needs to improve his literacy skills. He enjoys the numeracy program as well. My son is proud of his reading skills he is achieving. Wonderful.
He woke up this morning and he went to some vocab words we have and just wrote them all in his book. No one asked him to. And he came to me and showed me. He had written 25 words or so down…” to practise his printing”.
He was reading others while eating his breakfast.I think he feels like he’s in some control and in being supported as so has helped his motivation.
